Thanks again to Santa’s sleigh, Ezekiel and his mother head to Geneva. Just when it seems they are successful in putting the painting back inside the vault, Ezekiel and Lenore are caught by the painting’s owner… who happens to be Patron Saint of Thieves, Santa’s brother. At this point, it looks like there will be no sleigh, which means no Christmas. And if there’s no Christmas, there’s no Santa.

The solution is simplicity itself: Jenkins arrives after having helped Stone and Cassandra repair the teleporting globe and presents the Saint of Thieves with the title to the sleigh...as a gift. Jenkins promises never to mention this whole affair to Flynn and Eve as his Christmas gift, and thankful to get away from Santa's awful EDM party.

With Flynn and Eve none the wiser, the Librarians return to celebrate Christmas with 'family', while Ezekiel gets a gift he longs for: his mother's love and her reformation.

Synopsis

When Santa takes Flynn, Baird and Jenkins on his first vacation in centuries, he leaves his beloved sleigh in the care of the Librarians. But when Ezekiel’s career criminal mother steals the magic door, they must use the sleigh to save her, as well as Christmas itself, from Santa’s Grinch of a brother, the Patron Saint of Thieves.

Plot

Cassandra, Ezekiel, and Jake are facing a very important task. They must guard Santa’s precious sleigh while Santa himself – along with his elves, Jenkins, Eve, and Flynn – will be on vacation. Eve is not happy about leaving her Librarians all alone in the Library, while Jenkins has made himself very clear: They should not touch the sleigh under any circumstances.

Once Jenkins, Flynn, and Eve are gone, our three Librarians don’t waste any time before getting in the Christmas spirit. After Cassandra gets caught up in decorating the Library, she and Jake realize Ezekiel is nowhere to be found.

We follow Ezekiel as he brings a Christmas gift to his mother, Lenore Jones, who happens to be a professional thief. He finds her with his adopted sisters, and we learn that Lenore adopted him as well, taking him off the streets and making him part of her family of thieves. She and his sisters are celebrating “Thankstaking Day” to honor the Saint of Thieves, during which each of his sisters gives their mother an item they stole. Only Ezekiel’s gift is not stolen but bought, much to his mother’s disappointment.

When Ezekiel tries to explain what he’s doing now instead of being a thief, he’s met with the incredulity of his mother and sisters. To convince his mother that he’s on a new path once and for all, he commits a terrible mistake. He brings her inside the Library via the magic door, which his mother then proceeds to steal.

Once he realizes the magic door is gone, Ezekiel begs his friends not to tell Eve and Flynn. He vows to retrieve the magic door, but there’s a little problem: His mother lives in Australia, so how is he going to reach her without the magic door? With Santa’s sleigh – which they are not supposed to touch – of course!

Once Cassandra, Jake, and Ezekiel reach Lenore’s house, they realize she’s using the magic door to steal Christmas gifts from around the world. Jake explains to Cassandra that Thankstaking Day celebrates a day of greed as opposed to a day of generosity. It is observed to honor the Patron Saint of Thieves – also known as Santa’s bad brother.
