Cassandra Cillian is a former hospital janitor at Saint Francis Episcopal Hospital in New York, and currently one of The Librarians .

Biography[]

Cassandra had received an invitation earlier from the Library, but was struggling with her illness and so didn't go in for an interview. She has a terminal brain tumor, which while it gives her added abilities, is slowly killing her. The only job she could hold was working at a hospital as a janitor which is where Eve and Flynn found her. She corrected a wrong diagnosis on a patient and thereby saved her life. She joined Flynn and Eve and went to the Library with them. Flynn explained how magic had once been common in the world, but had slowly been sealed in artifacts in order to protect the world from the chaos it created. They figured out The Serpent Brotherhood was killing off potential Librarians and that they wanted to bring magic back into the world. To do this the Brotherhood needed the Crown of King Arthur. The group went to Munich and found a clue on a painting which led to the location of the Crown. They found a stone circle and Cassandra used her gifts to figure out how to unseal the vault containing the Crown, bonding with Jacob for a first time. The group managed to get the Crown and escape while the Serpent Brotherhood tried to get them. Cassandra secretly contacted the Serpent Brotherhood and told them about the library. She hoped to use magic to cure her tumor. She opened a door from the inside so Lamia and a platoon of killers could walk in and raid the place. She gave Lamia the crown, after which Flynn told her that Lamia was lying and engaged Lamia in a sword fight. Lamia used the Crown to control Excalibur and stabbed Flynn in the stomach. Shocked, Cassandra got taken away, while Lamia ordered her men to kill Flynn. As the Library began to fold up, she and the Serpents quickly escaped. Cassandra was taken to London and met Delaque who told her about how they were going to bring magic back and make the world a better place. Lamia prepared to kill her with a knife, believing she had outlived her usefulness. However, Delaque discretely motioned Lamia not to. He assured Cassandra they would cure her with the magic. She later guided Lamia and her soldiers into the tunnels underneath Buckingham Palace. She managed to unseal the stone, but Lamia immediately ordered her to be locked up in one of the cells in the tunnels. Shocked, Cassandra asked why, as she believed they wanted to help the world. Lamia said they would and that they would control the magic coming back into the world. Cassandra later got freed by the Librarians after she promised to help them. She told them how they could take the crown back with an electromagnet. The team went to work and they managed to fight off the Serpents and take the crown away. Having lost power over Excalibur, Lamia was swiftly knocked out by the sword. A dying Flynn told Cassandra she could use Excalibur's fading magic to heal herself. However, she chose instead to use it to cure Flynn of his stab wound. They later went back to the library, where Flynn told them he had decided to create new rules for the library and that all of them would be trained as librarians, while Eve would protect them during their missions.

The Labyrinth[]

Eve challenges the three Librarian trainees to cross a dark storage room. She easily subdues Jacob. Cassandra and Ezekiel hide, but when Ezekiel makes a dash for it, he gets taken out by Eve. Cassandra is the last one, but Eve finds her as well. She tells them each about their weaknesses. For Cassandra, it was that she only hid, instead of engaged her. Cassandra admits she does science and math; fighting is not her thing. Eve expresses concern for their safety as missions can be dangerous. She tells Jenkins they need more training as they can not handle themselves in the field yet--she can't protect three people at once.

The clippings book shows that multiple people have gone missing. Cassandra tells Eve they want to investigate. Eve agrees but wants them to be well prepared and be careful. Cassandra and the others find out all the missing people were interns at the Golden Axe Company. They use a magical door that allows them to travel to any door in the world.

They travel to the company. Eve and her team talk with the Karen Willis CEO of the Golden Axe Food Company who says they have no clue what could be going on. The CEO then asks why Eve is interested in it, to which Eve says there might be possible terrorism involved. The CEO tells them that she is not sure how much she can help them and says they can go to human resources for more information, all the while she sizes Eve up. Eve tells the Librarians the CEO knows what is going on and she talked to them to size them up. Eve says she will break into the server room while they go to HR. Following the instructions of the employee they walk towards Human Resources but somehow get lost in the halls. Jacob says it looks like they got into a basement. The team opens a door and finds a room filled with stacked up human skulls. They run away and call Eve. Cassandra says the hallways do not make sense and they somehow got lost. Eve tells them she is in a room with Minoan relics. The team realizes they are stuck in the minontaur's labyrinth. Cassandra is able to recognize a pattern and figure out the labyrinth. Eve shoots an "L" in Morse code in the air to guide them towards her. The team encounters the Minotaur. Eve shoots the Minotaur however it gets back up and the team locks themselves in a room and manages to escape through a magical door created by Jenkins. At the library Jenkins explains to them the labyrinth is created by the power of the Minoan artifacts and the focus of the Thread in the original myth. If they manage to remove the relics the labyrinth will disappear. The team returns to Boston through the magical door and prepare to break into the building. Cassandra realizes the labyrinth has expanded and Boston is now also a part of it. The team learns they are cursed and the Minotaur can now also hunt them in the streets. Fleeing from the Minotaur, Jenkins manages to disrupt the labyrinth to confused the Minotaur. Eve tries to order them, however Cassandra reminds her that she is not a soldier, the team use their combined skills to make up a plan while Cassandra says she can find the center of the labyrinth. The teams splits up while Ezekiel and Cassandra go to the center, Eve and Jacob provide a distraction. Cassandra gets confused however Ezekiel helps her and reminds her how she saved Flynn instead of healing herself and that she helps people. Using her gifts Cassandra while Ezekiel helps her, they find the center. She and Ezekiel get ambushed by the CEO who holds them at gunpoint. The CEO explains they have used the labyrinth for centuries, she then prepares to shoot them. Cassandra jumps the CEO. Ezekiel manages to grab the ball of rope and runs away while the CEO throws Cassandra down. Ezekiel returns for Cassandra, however the CEO shows up again. Ezekiel throws the ball of rope into the hallway which starts to destroy the labyrinth. Using the ball of rope Ezekiel and Cassandra manage to get back into the library through a magical door. Jacob has a talk with Cassandra and says he likes her, but she broke his trust, Eve later explains to them they did great and that she herself has to learn more of how to work together with them.

Saving Santa []

The team is decorating the library for Christmas and Eve mentions she does not like it. There is a short conversation in which Cassandra says her parents told her Santa did not exist where she was 3 years old, Ezekiel says he loves it because of the countless things to steal. Jenkins says Santa has been abducted and that he actually exists. The team responds in disbelief after which he explains it. He says Santa is an avatar who spreads good will during Christmas and that his task is vital in re-charging the good energy in the world. Jacob and Cassandra head to question the witness. The team finds out the Serpent Brotherhood has kidnapped Santa and Cassandra says Dulaque is behind it as she sees him on video footage. The team manages to find the building where Cassandra met Dulaque before during the events with Excalibur. Eve and Jacob distract Lamia and Dulaque while Ezekiel and Cassandra free Santa and escape. The group splits up and Ezekiel starts to act weird and sings and bakes cookies as he wears Santa's hat. Cassandra and Ezekiel get to the plane, however Ezekiel tells the pilot to go celebrate Christmas with his fiancee instead of flying them. Eve, Santa and Jacob reach the plane and Santa mentions he can fly the plane. The plane gets boarded by Lamia and Dulaque . Cassandra, Ezekiel and Jacob get overpowered and taken hostage. Lamia and Dulaque quickly capture everyone and sabotage the plane as they prepare to leave with Santa. Dulaque tells them he has poisoned Santa so he can not spread the good will this year. The group manages to manipulate Dulaque into putting on Santa's hat which forces him to give in to their wishes and let him order the confused Lamia to leave on the sleigh. However he then fights it off when Cassandra asks him to tell them how to stop the Serpent Brotherhood and attacks Eve with a sword. She kicks him to the edge of the plane and holds his hand. She tries to force him to tell her how to help the poisoned Santa, however he simply lets go and falls out of the plane. The team manages to safely land the plane. Santa says he is too weak and gives Eve the power to spread the good will over humanity this year. Eve experiences countless situations in an instant and gives people the gift of hope. The team is later at the library and they mention how they all got to have their Christmas wish fulfilled.

Preventing the Dragon Apocalypse[]

Cassandra and the team are figuring out why there are earthquakes all over Asia. The group suddenly hears a storm behind the magical door and they prepare for battle. Flynn comes in saying it's the dragons and explains that the dragons live underground and sleep 90% of their lives, however they can wreak havoc when angered. Jenkins and Flynn explain that there are two Dragon factions: The Eastern and the Western dragons. He explains that something might have been taken and that the dragons can destroy the world if they do not get it back. Baird takes Flynn aside to talk to him in private but Flynn says there is no time for it because a representative of the Eastern Dragons, Mr. Drake will be here any minute. Eve complains that he cannot just burst in and start to give orders as it undermines her authority towards the Librarians. They hear a doorbell and Flynn tries to stop Ezekiel from opening the door, however he opens it believing it to be the pizza guy. Mr. Drake says Ezekiel is the spokesperson for the library as he spoke to him first. When the intercession begins Mr. Drake claims that the Pearl of the Feilong has been stolen by the Western dragons. The team manages to get Jenkins involved as he can help Ezekiel negotiate with Mr. Drake.  Flynn explains to Eve and the team the Western Dragons have a stronghold in Rome and that they might have hidden the stolen pearl there. The team prepares to go to Rome to get the pearl back in a repo job. Eve says she needs Jones, however Flynn says he is stuck to do to the negotiations until he has dealt with all of Mr. Drake's grievances. Eve and the team use the magical door to get to Rome and end up in the Vatican. They see the Pope and quickly get out as the cops chase them. Eve and the team look for a puzzle that shows the entrance to the dragon stronghold. On the courtyard Cassandra recognizes a pattern of stones and steps on them to activate a door, with the help of Jacob. The team enters the space and finds a room where the pearl is stored. The room is booby trapped to shoot arrows when sound is detected. The team manages to get the pearl which stops the traps from shooting. Jacob picks up the pearl and locks the team up in the room with a trapdoor before walking away with a strange light in his eyes. The team walks through a tunnel while Eve and Flynn argue about his actions. Cassandra notices a moving wall, which is actually a dragon who tells them he did not steal the pearl, Flynn tells Eve the dragon cannot lie so someone must have framed them. Eve asks the dragon to let them out. Escaping the tunnel they find Jacob at a museum fighting guards because he did not like the way the paintings were ordered. In the fight Jacob drops the pearl and it breaks open and reveals a golden apple. Eve convinces the guards to leave with her NATO badge, as Flynn checks out Jacob. Cassandra picks up the apple and her eyes light up. Flynn says the apple is dangerous, however a smiling Cassandra says it is not, but she is. Cassandra steals Eve's gun and shoots a fire extinguisher after which she runs away. The guards and the police get attracted to the shot and retain Eve and the team. Cassandra walks through the museum and realizes she is wearing a flower dress which she dislikes. She strips to her undergarments and tosses the dress away. She gets confronted by Lamia who threatens her with a tantou (Japanese blade). Lamia says she looks different and Cassandra laughs at her and says she has no idea. She analyses Lamia's body and combines her knowledge of physiology, body mechanics, and force ratio to quickly create a model to predict Lamia's attacks and design highly precise counters using finger pokes of only 8 pounds of pressure per square inch. She taunts Lamia and says she should look up what Force ratios are.

Lamia tries to kill her however Cassandra uses a precisely timed finger poke to disarm her by dislocating her wrist and then cripples her by poking the Saphenous never cluster. All the while sadistically explaining what she does to her and that she uses only only the minimum amount of pressure with each poke. Cassandra grinned and pressed the carotid artery of a horrified Lamia and makes her pass out. Bored by her easy victory she goes to a power plant to cause a disaster. The teams finds her as she prepares to launch a cascade of power failures through Europe. The team tries to confuse Cassandra by asking her what the last digit in pi is. She doesn't fall for it saying pi is irrational, but when Jacob mentions Euler's number Cassandra's brain "short-circuits" and she faints, falling into his arms. Cassandra and the team travel back to the library where the conclave takes place and the faction leaders and Dulaque are talking about the faith of the library. Flynn chases Cassandra and the team out of the room and starts to insult the counsel while claiming he can take them all on. Cassandra and the team manage to let Ezekiel steal the apple from Flynn, who then manages to de-escalate the situation and recover the faith of the faction heads in the library.

Fairy tales coming Alive[]

Eve, Jacob, Cassandra and Ezekiel come to investigate a accident involving a car that was launched of a bridge. Ezekiel is skeptical about why they should investigate it. The team talks about how they will introduce themselves to the local law enforcement. They introduce themselves to Sheriff Heyer. Jacob says they are from the library and investigate traffic flow. The sheriff mentions it was most likely just a accident. Ezekiel taunts the sheriff about the town being meaningless. Eve gets them to the car wreck and says Ezekiel should not taunt local law enforcement. Cassandra recognizes a pattern on the car wreck. Jacob sprays on it and they notice a gigantic fingerprint.

At the annex Jenkins explains it might be a troll, and says that trolls are dangerous and that they better run when it comes at them. Jenkins tells them that trolls are subdued in daylight. Eve says Jacob and Cassandra go ask for any video footage.

Cassandra thanks Jacob that he wants to work with her. Jacob says he is fine working with her he just does not trust her. Cassandra asks if she can change that. And Jacob says he is fine with how it is now. The two meet the sheriff and see a naked Mayor running, who is completely naked but believes he is wearing his new clothing. The Mayor runs off and Jacob and Cassandra asks the sheriff if there are any other weird problems recently. The sheriff explains a woman got stuck in her oven, and some folks went missing. However he believes it is not that weird.

The team comes together and Eve and Ezekiel say it is a troll, however Cassandra and Jacob say it is more. Suddenly they hear a crowd running away. They see a huge wolf running through the streets who tries to bite a woman. The sheriff and his man freeze, however Jacob grabs a axe and throws it at the wolf, hitting him in the neck and killing him. Ezekiel asks him where he learned that and Jacob says he does not know. They see that the wolf is wearing a nightcap and believe the wolf may be related to the red hood. The team realizes fairy tales are coming alive. Jenkins explains to the team there must be a artifact that causes this situation.

Jenkins says they should perform autopsy on the wolf they killed. Eve and Cassandra have a drink at the bar where the wolf is stored, and Cassandra asks Eve about Jacob. Ezekiel and Jacob go get the wolf. Eve her hair starts to become longer and Cassandra receives a lot of attention from the local woman who gaze at her.  Ezekiel and Jacob bring the wolf to the annex where Jenkins helps them with the autopsy. They realize the night cap is part of the wolf. When Jacob cuts the wolf open there is a young woman in it.  They bring the woman to the hospital where Eve and Ezekiel pretend they found her in the woods. The woman says she did not know what happened as she seems charmed by Cassandra. She asks Cassandra her number as Jacob is annoyed by this.

The Sheriff mentions the wolf got stolen after Ezekiel was at the bar. Ezekiel taunts him and says he is overworked. The sheriff says he is trouble and he will get him. Jenkins meets them in the field and says the stories will become more powerful and that they can be changed by the reader, and eventually entire nations will be affected by this book. He says the book will take energy from the people around it and that they have to search for sick people.

The team starts to look for sick people and curious cases. Jenkins tells Cassandra the stories are the old versions and are brutal with archetypes such as the hunter, princess, prince charming and the rogue.

The team gets together at the bar where woman are trying to charm Cassandra. The team wants to find the book in the library, however Ezekiel thinks the sick girl is involved. The sheriff says Ezekiel learned her to pick locks and then cuffs him. Ezekiel escapes the cuffs. However the sheriff has become a wolf and blows the windows out of the house. The team flees as the sheriff is looking for them.

The entire football team has become wolves. The team realizes they are becoming archetypes as Jacob becomes a huntsman with a axe, Eve starts to look like a princess and Cassandra becomes Prince Charming. Jenkins says the good guys have bad endings as well and that they and the bystanders can get killed, the only person that is able to survive everything is Jack the nimble thief. The team walks through the town and realizes the population are becoming Fairy tale characters. The team gets the civilians to the local library to protect them.

The wolfs track them and they quickly go to the library. Ezekiel goes to the sick girl where the Librarian is reading the story. Ezekiel says the book is killing her and that he has to stop. He tries to grab the book however the old man grabs his wrist and throws him away with superhuman power. The man explains that he has become stronger by the book, growing old is not fun and by taking energy from the village he can become strong again. Jacob, Cassandra and Eve hide the citizens and prepare to defend them against the wolves. They call Ezekiel who explains the situation about the book. The wolves break in and Cassandra stands on the table and gives a rousing speech as they prepare to fight them. Eve starts to look more like a princess and is charmed by Cassandra. Jacob makes her snap out of it. Jacob engages the wolves with his axe and fights the sheriff in single combat. Cassandra uses a table leg to fight the wolves. Eve is handicapped by her princess appearance and has trouble fighting well. She calls Ezekiel to change the story.

Ezekiel grabs the book and says the wolves are now blind, which they become instantly. The Librarian throws him away and says the wolves are going to kill them.

The wolves quickly overpower the team and Jacob gets beat up by the sheriff. Ezekiel grabs the coin and tosses it in the head of the Librarian to paralyze him. He grabs the book and makes the sick girl turn it into a happy ending. She quickly says Jacob is a robot, who then beats the sheriff. She then turns Cassandra and Eve into Merlyn and a Ninja princess who then quickly beat the wolves.  As she ends the story the Librarian gets sucked in the book.

The team convinces the sheriff it was some hallucinating gas and that everything is great now. The sick girl has been fully recovered and the sheriff asks what Ezekiel did. Ezekiel says this is one of the times we say happy ending. The teams walks off as the sheriff and his daughter look at them.  The team returns to the library where Jenkins has put several books ready to inform them. The magical book is revealed to be blank except for a drawing of the trapped Librarian. Jacob says it is getting more crazier. Cassandra says she did not mind having all these girls buying her drinks, and Eve says she likes her hair is normal again. They ask is Ezekiel felt different, however he says he was just his amazing self. Ezekiel says he is awesome, and that everyone says he can not do anything however when everyone turned into heroes he just stayed himself and saved the day. Annoyed Eve and Jacob go to the punching bag to blow some steam. Cassandra holds her hand up and a ball of light appears from her hand. She puts it back and smiles after which she walks away.

Encountering Morgan Le Fay[]

Eve arrives at the Annex on a free day but to her surprise Jenkins is there as well as he says he never has a day off. Jacob and Cassandra are there as well as he has access to all the books in history there. Eve came to the Annex investigating magical threats. Ezekiel comes in through the magical door as he seems to have stolen something. The book starts to levitate and Jenkins says it must imply to a huge magical threat. The book shows a S.T.E.M (Science technology engineering and mathematics) fair. The group travels to the fair as Cassandra is excited about the cutting edge developments there. Eve is doubtful what kind of threat could be at a science fair. The walk in the fair where the presenter tells them the fair is brought by the McCabe learning foundation and introduces science education expert Lucinda McCabe. Lucinda explains that they promote science and offer a scholarship and internships to the winner of the fair

Eve is skeptical about all the robot stuff and asks why there is no baking soda volcano. Luncida asks them who they are and they introduce themselves as the Librarians, which makes Lucinda think they are the judges. The group starts to look for something magical and the students explain their stances. Only Cassandra understands it while the others have no clue what it is about. Eve sees one stance with a volcano, however the students thinks he is not good enough, after which Eve gives him an encouraging speech. The student shows his volcano which somehow starts to spit real fire and magma.

Cassandra and Ezekiel talk about how Cassandra was when she was young. They see three goths walking around and Ezekiel explains how students form packs to keep other people down.

Eve calls Cassandra and she and Ezekiel discuss how they should find other magical stances. Ezekiel says he stole some trophies when he was young. Jenkins joins them as he says he admires science as well. After a demonstration with a Newton's cradle sends two students crashing into each other, Jenkins says magic is rewriting the laws of physics. He says it is probably a coven of three people doing this.

Even and Jacob start to look for the three goths they saw earlier. Cassandra and Ezekiel look for the girl Amy at her stance, hover she is gone and her pushy mom tries to explain the project to them.

Eve and Jacob find the three goths and realize one of them is trying to ask the Amy to continue their relationship. However, she says school has priority and she cannot.

Cassandra and Ezekiel ask a student where Amy is, however he starts to cough up flies and has to be taken to the hospital. Lucinda explains the fair will go on and casually mentions that the fair seems to be cursed this year.

Jenkins explains the rule of three means that whatever you inflict on another will return to you three-fold. The group wonders how the kids got magic. Jacob talks to the goth that tried to be with Amy. He says he does not belong to her group or any group and that he cannot be with her. Jacob quotes poetry from the man who revitalized the gothic style and points out that the subgroups are just costumes and roles we place and they are not who we really are. Jacob tells him he should not let his own or other costumes stop him.

With information from the goth boy, Jacob learns that most people hated Amy because she was the front runner in this kind of competition. They talk to Amy and her mom and the pushy mother explains Amy has no social life as it will just be a distraction. Ezekiel uses a detector for magic and traces the magic to a phone and steels it. They learn there is a magical app on the phone. Jenkins explains that it is a wish fulfilling spell, so that whatever the user of the phone wishes will have a magical influence. Jenkins also adds that the phone also influences the mind and keeps influencing the magic making it stronger and stronger.

Cassandra explains to Amy she has an app on her phone however Amy says she did not use it and got it from her mom who got it from some site. Amy says she wants to be normal and does not care much about success. Cassandra explains she was like that in the past but she could not perform up to the dream her parents had for her. Cassandra talks to Ezekiel and he asks where her trophies are. She explains her parents destroyed them after she was diagnosed with the tumor because they believed it would be a painful reminder that she wasn't who she used to be anymore.

The Librarians realize there are 27 active users of the magical app at the fair. Cassandra says it is 3 multiplied and that the students are all using the spell on each other.

Eve explains to the group that Morgan Le Fay made the app. However Morgan walks past them and says she just made the wish spell and the kids use it to destroy each other. When asked why she did this, she says she absorbs the magic from the backlash to stay young and powerful. She then quickly disappears.

The group wonders how they can protect the kids. They decide they have to contain the magic using the five legs of a table that Morgan Le Fay enchanted to protect Amy so more wishes would be made. Amy decides to help them so they can form a pentagram. Her mother tries to stop her but she says it is her life.

The Librarians and Amy form a pentagram around the group to absorb the magic as they all keep metal table leg up. The plan succeeds and they stop the magic.

The Librarians pretends Lucinda is to the hospital and make Lenard the winners with his volcano performance. Ezekiel talks to Cassandra and says her idea on the pentagram saved everyone. He gives her the first place price in the category that he stole.

The Haunted House[]

Cassandra and the group try to find a broken lay line in the Nitra Region of Slovakia. As they get close a scared girl runs towards them. Stone, Eve, Ezekiel and Cassandra get out and help her. They ask her what is going on and she says there is something horrible in the house. She explains her name is Katie and she and her friends were in the house. Eve asks her what happened and she says a man attacked them. She wants to go back however Jacob tells her they will not let her go alone in the house. Ezekiel says they better flee, however Eve ignores him.

Cassandra says the broken lay lines are on the place where Katie came from. They call with Jenkins who tells them broken lay lines are highly dangerous and that they can cause wild magic mixed with haunted spirits. Cassandra gives them magical scrolls which can contain the magic and need to be anchored in the house. Eve wants Cassandra to stay with Katie while she, Ezekiel and Stone will enter the house.

Eve asks Stone what the house is and he says it is a 19th century frontier house and wonders what it does in Slovakia. The group enters the house and start to clear the rooms. Ezekiel places the scrolls to anchor the magic. The house starts to shake and a knife flies in the air and nails into the wall next to Ezekiel. The group quickly flee the house and Katie asks them who they are. Cassandra says they are the Librarians.

Eve says she Stone and Ezekiel will go in as Cassandra and Katie wait outside. Cassandra is annoyed they not let her go in, Eve tries to explain but Katie runs in and the group follow her. Eve grabs Katie and tells her to be quiet as there is a noise upstairs. Cassandra and Katie stay down while Eve, Stone and Ezekiel go upstairs.

The group is unable to find anyone and Eve describes the youngsters who Katie says are her friends. The group calls Jenkins who tells them that the broken lay-lines are contained but the house is the house of legends where different people got killed. Jenkins tells them there are six magical houses. And tells them the house is the shadowbox who moves around takes victims and then moves on. The house does this since the 16th century. Jenkins tells them they perhaps can destroy the house by destroying the dark heart which could be anything. They have until midnight to do this.

The group try to find anything magical. Cassandra talks to Katie who tells them her friends got taken out by a shadow like man with a hammer or hatchet like weapon. Stone finds the hatchet but it somehow disappears when he tries to pick it up. Stone calls for Ezekiel who is disappeared. The group is unable to find Ezekiel who is now gone. Stone suggests they burn the house down but Katie says they must still be in here. They notice a playing recorder that was not there before and the name Katie appears on the wall.

Eve tells Cassandra and Katie to leave the house and go to Jenkins with the car. Cassandra wants to stay however Eve says she and Stone will stay because they can fight. If they fail at least Cassandra will remain. Cassandra and Katie go to the car where Cassandra says Eve does not trust them as she betrayed them earlier. Cassandra says her tumor makes her useful but unreliable. Katie says Eve trusts her and that is why she wants to get her to safety. A shadowy hooded figure starts to destroy the car and the two are forced to flee back in the house.

Eve, Cassandra and Katie block the door as the dark man follows them. They realize Stone is gone.

Eve, Cassandra and Katie get attacked by the dark man. Eve fights him as she tells Cassandra to leave. Cassandra and Katie leave the house as Eve fights the dark man. Katie wants to leave the house as Cassandra wants to get back in there. Katie says they are in Nevada and Cassandra says they are in Slovakia. Cassandra realizes Katie was the one who did all of this. Katie starts to sing as she has a devious look on her face. Cassandra runs back in the house as Katie calmly follows her with a evil smile while singing a song. Cassandra gets in and finds Eve her gun. She sees an unconscious Eve being carried upstairs. Cassandra moves through the house as Katie follows her while explaining that she and her family killed a lot of people before they ended up in the house. She explains the magical house helps her and made her wishes come true. Cassandra realizes the house can talk to her as well. Katie moves upstairs as she picked up the knife. She explains the house has to obey her despite that it tries to save people from her. Katie says she lures the house to kill people. Katie tries to find her but Cassandra manages to ambush her and knock the knife out of her hand. She quickly points the gun at her and shoots only to realize the gun is empty. The two engage in a struggle over the knife and Cassandra manages to stab Katie in the chest. As she moves backwards she sees Katie pull out the knife. The shadow man blocks her exit and Katie explains she wished to become death. Cassandra tries to disarm her but Katie cuts her wrist. Cassandra wishes to save her friends however Katie says she wishes to kill them and she was first so her wish will come true. Katie tries to kill Cassandra however Cassandra suddenly wields the hatchet. Cassandra says she was 15 when they diagnosed her. She fights Katie and hits her with the hatchet. Katie thinks she will heal her she starts to fall apart. Cassandra passes out as she realizes the house helped her save her friends. Waking up Cassandra notices a piece of paper on the toy house. Ezekiel talks to Stone as he says the house can make them rich as they are out of the toy house. Eve is in bad shape as she has a black eye and is hurt. Cassandra and the shadow man walk in as Ezekiel and Stone prepare to fight. Cassandra explains there is no threat anymore and the shadow man turns into a butler. She explains the house is to help people and was made to act as a refuge and they not escaped it would ever be used by a serial killer. Cassandra says goodbye to the ghost and the group takes off. Jenkins tells them the entire family consisted of serial killers and they found the house of refuge. Cassandra turns on the radio and Ezekiel does not like the song, but Cassandra says she wants to listen it. It is revealed they took the dollhouse with them.

The City of Light[]

At the Annex Ezekiel tries to convince the others that aliens exist. Jenkins says they do not exist and Eve is skeptical as Santa is real as well. Jacob says it reminds him off conspiracy theories. Cassandra says it would be unlikely earth would be the only planet with some form of life. The group goes to a town where a alien investigator went missing. Ezekiel mentions he would sell out the human race if some superior race would show up. Eve says she would break his bones if he does.

The group splits up to look for weird stuff.

Jacob meets Mabel who came from Paris and the two talk in French. Jacob flirts with her and learns she is the archivist. They go to the archive.

The group is at the Annex where Jenkins says it is crazy that they managed to lose their guardian. He finds out that Eve is still on the planet. They question Mr. Finch who mentions he has no memories about what happened.

Jacob talks to Mabel and says the archive is huge for a small town. They talk about family and how Mabel never left this town. Jacob mentions his new job makes him travel now while he never was far away from his home. Mabel says she wants to have memories from other places and have more experiences.

Jacob decides to bring Mabel to the place they picked up weird signals. Cassandra says she does not understand why he brought her towards them. Jacob asks Mabel if she knows what the light pole does in the forest. Jenkins touches it and Eve suddenly appears for a second again. Mabel says there is something wrong and they are not Librarians. Jacob asks her to trust him and they are here to help the town.

Jenkins explains Eve got caught in some kind of energy field but he is not sure what. He gives them the goggles that allow them to see energy manifestations like Eve.

Jacob goes to the archive, breaks in but gets caught by Mabel. The two decide to work together to find the correct books.

Cassandra and Ezekiel follow the energy flow and Cassandra realizes it is a circuit. She tries to find the source. Ezekiel sees Eve through the goggles. She motions them to where they can find the energy source. Jacob and Mabel study the blueprints and Jacob mentions there might have been a town where lamps were.

Eve leads Cassandra and Ezekiel to town and Ezekiel sees some people are glowing up.

Jacob sees lamps and asks her what she is doing. She says she helps him if he will do the right thing. She explains there was a town build here before.

Ezekiel follows Eve who points him towards people who are being taken over by energized human forms. He flees as they chase him and hits a lamp that stops them.

Cassandra gets confronted by Finch and knocks him down after which she flees.

Jacob explains to the group the town was invented by the founder of electricity. Cassandra shows a picture of 1915 were Mabel is on it.

Mabel explains to them the lamp poles were prototypes for wireless electricity and when they were activated something went wrong and all the people in the city turned into invisible version of themselves. Mabel was in the control room and therefore became anchored in her body with a device.

Ezekiel asks why they are in other bodies. They explain they took over bodies to work on creating a solution. They took Finch over because he was a stranger.

The Librarians talk about if they will help them. Ezekiel says stealing bodies is just wrong. Jacob says they should help them as it is horrible they cannot participate like this. Cassandra says they have a 50 percent chance to get them back or the gas lamps will get destroyed and they will be gone.

Jacob and Mabel talk and she says she stayed around as the gas laps are the only thing that keep her into this world. She mentions Jacob should travel as well as he had been held back while he likes architecture and art and could visit all kinds of places. He explains he felt obliged to run the family company and used it as an excuse to not do anything. The two end up kissing.

They prepare the lamps as best as possible and then try to perform the process to bring them back. The process starts to become in stable and the place threatens to blow. Finch wants to take that risk and destroys the equipment to avoid Cassandra from stopping the process.

The group frees Cassandra as Finch locked her up. Cassandra says the place is going to blow up if it does not work. The group realizes they have to stop it and Mabel agrees.

They are unable to approach the generator but Jacob holds on to Mabel which grounds him so the electricity does not kill him. Ezekiel engages the body snatched citizens and keeps them off.

Jacob and Mabel manage to get close enough to the generator and Mabel shuts it down which also removes the connection between the citizens and this world.

The group sits together and they discuss if it could have worked. Eve came back but it was still unsure if the others would get back as well. Jenkins hands Eve a book in which she can make a note so that the future Librarians will use another generator over 100 years again to bring the citizens back to this world.

Cassandra and Ezekiel ask Jacob to go for a drink, however he says he needs to go somewhere.

Loom of Fate[]

The group checks out a pyramid. While investigating they encounter mummies. Jacob, Ezekiel, Cassandra and Eve try to disarm a booby trap while fighting of mummies. Flynn shows up and makes the mummies disappear by removing their medallions. Eve says he did not mention that. Flynn explains he believes he found a way to bring back the library. And that this sarcophagus holds the key to it.

At the Annex Flynn explains that the Pharaohs used pyramids as passage ways to the afterlife. Jacob is skeptical about a doorway to heaven inside pyramids. Jenkins explains a doorway like they have to other dimensions. Cassandra calculates it, but faints as the space is to big and even bigger than the labyrinth, Jacob catches her. Her nose starts to bleed and Ezekiel hands her a handkerchief.  Jenkins mentions this door might give them access to the space where the library is floating and they can anchor it backwards to them. Jacob mentions they can use the ball of rope from the labyrinth and the magical app from Morgan Le Fay to help get back the library.  The group prepare to bring back the library using the story book they found before. It is working and Flynn says Jenkins was right about the pyramids however Jenkins says he never send him any notes. Flynn is confused and suddenly there gets smoke out of the sarcophagus. Waking up Jenkins, Eve and Flynn are gone. Jacob covers the motionless body of  Lamia. Jenkins, Eve and Flynn get back to the Annex and Cassandra, Jacob and Ezekiel ask what happened as Eve is mortally injured from a stab wound. Flynn uses the storybook to get the library back. Opening the doors they see the library is back again. The group gets in as Jacob supports Eve. Cassandra realizes Eve has stopped breathing as Flynn runs in the library looking for a potion. Flynn uses a magic potion to revive Eve just as her heart stopped beating. Flynn says he does not believe in faith. The group looks at the library as Flynn says it feels like home.

Flynn tells the group they are now graduating and they can do mission on their own. Eve hands them small versions off the clipping book so they can get their own missions. Eve ensures them they will be fine as she has seen them all in alternate futures. Ezekiel says he can use a break and Jacob says he would like to visit his family again. Cassandra says she would like to try a case and opens the book. Cassandra says she will go to Lima and as she leaves, Ezekiel runs after her, with Jacob joining in seconds later.

The Eternal Question[]

Cassandra is told by Dr. Nassir, that her tumor has grown quite large. So large in fact that he was surprised that she was even able to still walk in to see him, and he suggests Emergency surgery, to which Cassandra declines, and instead asks for a timeline, to which Dr. Nassir, responds: there isn't any. He gives her a card with his home number, in case she changes her mind, before she leaves the hospital.

Before she joins the others on the case of the spontaneously combusting victims she speaks with Jenkins alone, asking him out for dinner. Jenkins rebuffs her advances, stating he is too old for her and this his immortality almost makes him a different species. Cassandra tells him that he is older than everyone, and that they have more in common than he thinks. She tells Jenkins that she feels the reason why Jenkins is saying no to her advances is because that she will die someday, and ultimately he will be hurt, calling him a coward believing he is too afraid to start something for that reasoning.

While at the holistic Spa Vida de la Luz, she meets Estrella, a bio-geo chemical engineer, and daughter of the owner. She and Estrella seem to share a special bond, not just over the complexities and significance of the spa, she even opens up to her and relays the real reason why she and her companions are there. Upon discovering the truth about Estrella, Estrella even offers Cassandra a way to live on using her own gift, one of which she has never offered or bestowed upon another living being.

After discovering the mystery of Vida de la Luz, and simultaneously getting the guilty party to incriminate themselves, Cassandra faints while Jenkins and the others rush her immediately to the hospital and into Emergency surgery, leaving Estrella worried and anticipating the worst. Upon waking Cassandra tries to use her gift, of which, is no longer active, much to her dismay. She again questions to herself, and the others, if she is even a Librarian without the tumor and the side-effect it caused. Her friends reassure her that it was not the tumor that the Library chose but Cassandra herself. All of a sudden the gift not only returns but in an exponentially expanded form, no longer being needed to be called upon but seeming to work as an extension of Cassandra herself. She is also seen as solving a hospital worker's Sudoku problem and projecting the answer to the worker almost telepathically. To her puzzled delight, not only was her gift not caused by the Tumor, it seemed to have been hindered by it.

Cassandra returns to the Vida de la luz to see Estrella, who is glad that Cassandra is okay, to which Cassandra tells her that she is part of the reason that she is, citing: You reminded me, that what defines us isn't what we're born into, it's what we chose to be. Estrella tells Cassandra that if she ever changes her mind that she will still bestow her gift upon her, and that she will always be able to find her at the spa. While Cassandra declines stating that the choice was not for her, she tells Estrella that the mere offer meant so much to her, and that she truly helped saved her life, of which she will always remember. The two share a kiss before Cassandra departs Vida de la Luz, one last time.

Alternate timeline[]

Cassandra Cillian Alternate timeline

Cassandra Cillian as the Librarian in the alternate timeline

After the previous Librarian Edward Wilde faked his death Cassandra became the new librarian. While acting as the librarian Eve Baird became her guardian. Cassandra used Excalibur to heal her brain tumor which altered her brain. When Dulaque attempted to steal the library he stabbed and killed Eve. However Lamia joined sides with Cassandra and killed Dulaque. Learning to use magic she began to look for magical items and saved people when the Dragons went on a rampage.

Lamia later caught Eve and Flynn. Cassandra realizes they are skipping through alternate timelines and says Morgan Le Fay warned her for that. Seeing a picture of the timeline Eve says she saw Dulaque cut the timeline. Lamia says she killed Dulaque after he killed Eve. She tells that she knew Cassandra was the chosen one after she found Excalibur. Eve says that in her timeline Dulaque wanted to go back to the time of Camelot. Flynn explains that the timeline will restart from where you cut it. Cassandra explains Dulaque wanted history to restart at the height of his power and the power of magic. However he cut it but did not reweave it so the fabric of history became frail. Cassandra continues that Eve and Flynn skip from thread to thread while each contains another path they could have taken. Eve asks how Cassandra can control all this magic. Cassandra explains that when her brain tumor grew she used magic to save her life. Cassandra says history will continue to unravel until all time is undone. Cassandra says she lost and that she will evacuate this world as Morgan Le Fay taught her how to open doors. Flynn tells her she should not give up as the others also did not give up. Cassandra says he is a Librarian and Flynn says he could be, and that he would have become one if he could choose again. Flynn says they could reweave the threads again. Cassandra says they need something powerful and Eve says they can use the rope of the labyrinth. Eve searches the Annex as Cassandra mentions to Flynn he cares for her but that no matter what she will die in the end. Flynn realizes they can rewind the threads again like a rope, however they need the Librarians from all three universes to make it work. Using magic Cassandra summons Jacob and Ezekiel from their timelines and explains the situation. The three Librarians work together and transport the group back to the world of Eve. Cassandra says they can go through the doors and that they can reach the loom of fate. Eve gets the ball of rope and a sword and she and Flynn thank the group and go through the doors. Flynn stops and says that if they rewind the threads their lines will cease to exist and they will be gone. Jacob says it was an interesting life. The Librarians say a life of mystery, misery, loneliness and adventure and the chance to save the world every week. The group says goodbye as Eve and Flynn go to the loom of fate.

Personality[]

Cassandra is a kind and caring person. She wants to help the world and hopes to be saved from her medical condition with magic. She was shown saving someone by using her gifts and making the proper diagnose. She was shown to be a bit naïve as she joined the Serpent Brotherhood believing they shared her vision. This decision resulted in her betraying Flynn and opening the Library. The Serpent Brotherhood raided the Library and Charlene was forced to break the chain which made the library disappear. She got used by them as they left her when she was no longer needed. Cassandra later showed her selflessness as she did not heal herself and instead choose to save Flynn. Cassandra is cheerful and optimistic despite her illness as she was having a picnic while looking for the crown. She had some trouble adapting to her new role and Eve her military way of handling things, saying that she was not a soldier. Cassandra developed a good relationship with the rest of the team, particularly with Jacob and Ezekiel.

In regards to romance, Cassandra seems originally attracted to Jacob, but he is very clear about how he can't trust her and that apparently fizzles out. She has a complicated relationship with Jenkins which undoubtedly involves mutual love, but of what kinds is not clear. She appears to have at least the capacity to be sexually attracted to a woman, to judge by her dealings with the vampire Estrella.

Cassandra with the Apple of Discord

Cassandra and the Apple

When holding the Apple of Discord Cassandra became deceitful, narcissistic and highly destructive. She first disarmed Eve of her gun and shot a fire extinguisher in the museum to get them stalled by the police. She disliked her flower dress and stripped to her underwear after which she threw it away. When encountering Lamia she seemed to enjoy defeating her, and cheerfully explained what she did to her. She seemed to show off as she only used 8 pounds of pressure to effortlessly cripple the trained killer and render her unconscious. After this she wanted something more spectacular and prepared to ruin Europe by destroying the power supply and create a disaster. When confronted by the Librarians she acted arrogantly and told them she wanted to apply theoretical models for real.

In "And What Lies Beneath the Stones" Cassandra admits to several quirks about herself, including an irrational fear of ravioli, secretly wishing she were Vietnamese, and a vehement dislike of babies. Two other confessions are incomplete, and might later be clarified.

Abilities[]

  • Genius Level Intellect: Cassandra was born into an intellectual household and has an incredible mind herself. Her unique variation of genius makes her the most powerful of the Librarians, more so than even Flynn.
    • Photographic memory: Cassandra has a photographic memory. A brain tumor has given her synesthesia, which allows her to link all five senses to her memory. As such, she often remembers information as smells. In "And the Eternal Question" the tumor is removed, but Cassandra's 'gift' reasserts itself, in a manner she originally finds overwhelming.
    • Visualization: During times where Cassandra is recalling information, she often visualizes the information on her surroundings and in the air around her head, moving data around with her hands as she sorts through it. The experience is overwhelming: she can often get lost in the experience and be unable to break out of it until it comes to a natural conclusion. However, Jacob is able to help her focus by talking to her and helps guide her out easier than she could on her own. Using this visualization she is able to make highly precise calculations at incredible speed. After the removal of her tumor, her powers were supercharged making her faster than ever before when it comes to math.
    • Telepathic Suggestion: A result of the removal of her tumor supercharging her powers, Cassandra can telepathically place thoughts in other people's minds. She can even give the power of thought to certain beings that do not have it, such as Apep, at least when corporeal. This ability is still on display at the gaming tables in "And the Steal of Fortune". This actual super power is what makes her the most powerful of the Librarians.
  • Hand-to-hand combat: Cassandra was also able to use her gift for combat, this allowed her to easily defeat the highly skilled Lamia. She analyzed Lamia's body and combined knowledge of physiology, body mechanics and force ratio to quickly create a model to predict Lamia's attacks and design highly precise counters using finger pokes. She disarmed Lamia by dislocating her wrist with 8 pounds of pressure. When Lamia kicked she then struck the Saphenous nerve cluster to make her leg give out with 3 pounds of pressure. She then rendered Lamia unconscious by pressing her carotid artery with her thumb with 6 pounds of pressure, cutting off blood flow to her brain. Cassandra apparently either lost or suppressed this ability once she let go of the Apple of Discord.
  • Magic: During her time as a Librarian, Cassandra started learning magic. She was given capabilities by the Libris Fabula which were not definitively taken back. She has shown the ability to use many spells from protective charms to opening an ice crystal to retrieve an artifact inside. The other Librarians except Ezekiel convinced her not to use magic as it can be very dangerous even when used by people as good as her. In one of the alternate timelines Eve and Flynn visited when the Loom of Fate was cut, Cassandra gained an ability to manipulate magic after using Excalibur to heal her tumor and was not corrupted by it like the Librarians of the main timeline thought she would be.
  • Bilingual: While attempting to rescue a captive Eve, Cassandra reveals she can speak a variation of Chinese to distract a guard while Ezekiel sneaks in to the cell.
