The Loom of Fate is a small, magical loom that exists inside its own pocket dimension.
Powers[]
Chronomancy: The Loom personifies, and controls, everything that has, will or can happen inside the universe of The Librarians.
Sentience: The Loom has been implied to help the Librarians protect their universe, by setting in motion some, if not all, of the very unlikely events that are necessary for them to be victorious.
Real Life Counterpart[]
The Loom of Fate is present in many oral and written folklore tales across multiple cultures, including Greek1 and Norse2, often by a different name. It is the source of fate and controlled by different beings in different cultures, such as The Fates in Greek culture and The Norns in Norse culture. Many cultures consider weaving to be a magical act, usually performed by women, especially when accompanied by a distaff3. Other folklore suggests this act of weaving fate is done by spiders.
Weaknesses[]
The Loom's cloth can be torn apart like any other, if one manages to arrive where it is.
If the cloth is damaged, Time itself will be destroyed - Past, Present and Future - unless someone manages to repair the damage.
The Loom can only be repaired with cloth as old as it is, like The Thread.
